Just four days after Kanye West’s White House visit with President Trump, he and Kim Kardashian-West, headed to the East African country of Uganda.
The couple was given a warm Ugandan welcome by the nation’s president Yoweri K. Museveni as they took over the luxurious Chobe Safari Lodge on the bank of the Nile River, the same location where Kanye is reportedly completing his Yandhi album.
Despite his intense studio focus, Kanye took a break from recording to meet with President Museveni where they discussed Uganda’s tourism and global interest. After the meeting, the President thanked him for the autographed pair of Yeezy sneakers.
Their next stop was the UWESO (Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans) Children’s Village in the town of Masulita where he gifted hundreds of kids his newest Yeezy sneaker — the Cream YEEZY Boost 350 V2.

The UWESO provides residential housing for neglected children in Uganda and also serves as a rehab center for children living on the streets.
