“Hundreds of thousands“ of people have joined extramarital affairs website AshleyMadison in the last week, including 87,596 women, according to a statement released Monday by the platform’s parent company Avid Life Media.
In fact, they claim that women sent more than 2.8 million messages on the site last week, and that the ratio of men to women who actively used their account during that time was 1.2 to 1. (Female members are not required to pay to communicate with men.)
Avid Life also slams reports that AshleyMadison has lost business following the release of members’ personal info, as well as those claiming most of the so-called women on the site are bots.
