The Power of Mental Health

Mental health is just as important as physical health—and at Power 98.3, we believe it deserves the conversation, the attention, and the support it needs. This October, we’re dedicating time and space to shine a light on mental wellness, break down stigma, and encourage our community to come together for hope and healing.

October 10th – World Mental Health Day

On World Mental Health Day, Power 98.3 is stopping the music to focus on what really matters—the Power of Mental Health.

Throughout the day, you’ll hear from therapists, advocates, and community voices who are passionate about creating change. These powerful conversations will explore:

  • Why it’s okay to ask for help

  • How to support loved ones struggling with their mental health

  • Ways to practice self-care in our everyday lives

  • How our community can come together to break the stigma

This day is about more than awareness—it’s about support, encouragement, and letting our listeners know they are never alone.

October 11th – NAMI Walks Valley of the Sun

The conversation continues the very next day with NAMI Walks Valley of the Sun.

Join J Steele and The Power Crew as we walk side by side with thousands of others for hope, healing, and community. The event is more than just a walk—it’s a celebration of resilience, unity, and the belief that together, we can change the way the world views mental health.

Why It Matters

Too many people still suffer in silence. By opening up the dialogue, sharing resources, and showing support, we can make it easier for anyone struggling to find the help they deserve. At Power 98.3, we’re proud to use our platform to raise awareness and stand for something bigger than ourselves—because mental health matters.

Special Thanks

This initiative is made possible thanks to our partners:

  • NAMI Valley of the Sun – leading the way in advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

  • Molina Healthcare – proudly powering this important promotion and supporting the well-being of communities across Arizona.

Together We’re Stronger

When it comes to mental health, no one should walk alone. Together, we’re stronger, braver, and more powerful.
