Your Quick & Simple Review: “WandaVision”

After a whole year without anything from Marvel Studios, we’re finally getting the long awaited Disney+ series, WandaVision.   And like a lot of people, except for what we saw in the trailers, I didn’t really know what to expect.  Just that it was gonna be different.

I got to see the first three episodes and it was literally step on the gas and go.  Meaning we don’t know or learn how they got to where they are.  But, I have feeling, as the story goes, we’ll learn what that’s all about further down the road.  Also, if you’re like most of the world, you’ve seen a movie or two, if not all of them, from the MCU.  You’ll realize Wanda & Visions personalities are much different here than the way we’ve come to know them in the movies.  They’re fun and funny, while living life in a old school sitcom tv world.  For the fans who had hoped to see more of a love story between them, like in the comics,  that’s here too.

Like all the other Marvel films, there are plenty of easter eggs.  I recommend watching the short character films, on Disney+, called Legends.  That will help as you watch, pick up on those easter eggs.   Especially the one’s in the “ads”.  Yes, I said, ads.  The’re built right into the episode, and they means something.  You’ll understand depending on your MCU knowledge.

This only supposed to be a nine episode season, and things are going to move fast.  As the first two episodes, premiering on 1/15, will start to shape things and quickly get you involved with trying to figure out what’s really happening.  But when we arrive at episode three, things really shift into high gear as we start to get a reality check of what’s really goin on.

I think this is gonna be a great new start to Phase 4 in the MCU and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes us.
